2+2=5 War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.

2+2=5 references and draws material from George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, along with other fiction sources such as Brave New World, and the works of Octavia Butler. Interwoven with news clips and images from history, and from personal childhood stories about growing up with a parent suffering from paranoid delusions, 2+2=5 uses multiple video projections, dance, spoken and written text, and set design, to create a cathartic, three-dimensional experience about the uses of Truth and Falsehood.
